Alright, so i have just seen the latest Mel
Gibson movie "Edge of Darkness" and to my
belief I was shocked by how good it was. especially, with the lack of advertisment, which made thi movie an underdog in the box office. First off, Anyone who has seen the trailer can expect to get exactly what the trailer depicts. A cop loses his daughter and sets out to solve the murder that others conclude was self explanatory as a shooting in an attempt to get revenge against a cop. Except this movie takes a twist with the goal, taking things at face value sometimes just don't cut it. I believe what really made this movie was the roles mel Gibson and Winstone were really convincing and well matched. Another thing I liked about this movie was that it kept me up and at the end of my seat.
Gibson and Ray Winstone were so perfect for the roles they played. The tension from both kept me clinging to my seat and wiping my brow. Gibson probably had his best role in this movie. Many people would say that mel's role was very similar of those in the "Lethal Weapon" series, but I have seen most of his movies starting with Lethal Weapon and I could not see one potential likeness of Martin Riggs in Edge of Darkness, except for the fact he played a cop. Like I said beforethough this movie will keep you at th edge of your seat not only with it's action scenes in the movie but also with the turns and suprises this movie has. For example, this is also a spoiler, but there is this really suprising scene when Mel meets up with one of his daughters friend for any clues or information she migh shine on the case then when the meeting is finished, BOOOM! she is hit by a car. In Conclusion this movie is an Excellent movie and it is good to see Mel Back in action, and i'm hoping to see him in more movies like this.

Sherlock Holmes
Hello followers David here to bring you into my mind with another movie review. Okay, so don't laugh at me but I barely seen "Sherlock Holmes" and I thought this movie was brilliantly done. This movie had good CGI, Excellent amounts of action and a brilliant cast of stars. Like any other movie though this one has had it's share of mixed reviews some that were similar to mine and some that were negative. Do not fear away from this movie because of it's negative reviews, alot of these were written by "bookies" like Robert Ebert and believed that a movie should stay on the same road as the book. Also, at the end of these reviews they all agreed that they enjoyed the movie.
Back to the good parts though, this movie had good CGI which i believe let the actors actually really act and not focus on the danger of scenes. like there is one scene just before the middle of the movie, Sherlock (Downey Jr.) is fighting a criminal at a dock then Sherlock is knocked out and a gigantic ship is released right toward him. this proves that CGI is good because none of the actors are in danger and you can perform this scene numerous times without buying another carg ship. Another excellent feature in this film was it's actors. This was a star studded cast which featured Robert Downy Jr. as Holmes, Jude Law as Watson and Rachel McAdams as Addler. All of these actors and actresses have proven thier admirability. If you have been following my blog you know i'm a guy, and as a guy I like a movie with action. This movie is no exception this movie has a lt of fight scenes and explosions, and with CGI is only enhances the movie. One of the scenes in which i thought was good was the part I described earlier which had a lot of fights, explosions and noise. My overall opinion of this movie though is that this movie was EXCELLENT and if you havent seen it it is totally worth your $15.00 to go see it.

"The Spy Next Door"
Hello Bloggers, David here again to bring you yet another blog. This time i'm going to tell you about the newest Jackie Chan movie out called "The Spy Next Door". In this movie Bob Hope (Jackie Chan) is a foreign exchge spy on loan to the U.S., until he falls in love and decides to retire to live a suburbia life. Until he puts the ones cares for in trouble and he is left to rely on his spy skills to help. This movie had a couple of good appearances like Billy Ray Cyrus and George Lopez which brought a comedic feel and a few laughs. One moment for instance that comes to mind is in the begining where after the last mission for Bob all three actors were in their hideout, pulling wisecracks on eachother. At the end of it all this movie seemed lie yur basic "Jackie Chan" movie, cool but very family oriented.
This movie was made for a family oriented audience, meaning it is viewable for kids. But don't get me wrong it's not like a "Hannah Montana Movie"made exclusively for kids, there is alot of action and fight scenes but nothing to violent.I kinda came to this claim by the way this movie is set up with actually taking care of a family, he helps out this family out with advice and kinda playing a father figure to the kids. One moet in the movie where the oldest of he kids is in her terribe teen age is felling lost and abanded because her father left the family out of nowhere but Jackie comes in and tries to support her. Another reason I came to this claim was because you can see this movie has the potential to be a "Jet Li" or "Jason Statham" style film but decided to take a softer route so that this film is viewable to everyone. because thier is some pretty awesome fight scenes like the one in the begining it had alot of cool flips and sliding and could've got intense, but it was mild down, yet still cool. So my overall review of the movie is that it is a really good movie but don't expect it to be like any of the "Rush Hour" movies.

"The Book Of Eli"
Hello bloggers and movie goers today i'm going to tell you about "The Book of Eli". Sorry it's none of the newest movies out, I was kind of preoccupied with the superbowl, but if you are one of the few who hasn't checked out this movie yet, I advise you to go see it. "The Book of Eli" is a movie filled with action with a lot of religous aspects. The reason why I kind of came to this conclusion was if anyone kind of had a sense of the bible they would see that eli's story kind of matches up to jesus's life. One scene that helped me realize that is the scene, where after an action filled gunfight between Eli (Denzel Washington) and Carnegie (Gary Oldman), Eli gives up when pushed to the wall and expects to walk away ater giving up the book but is shot down left for dead. but after being capture and then escaping to rush back to Eli, Solara (Mila Kunis) comes to find that the so called "diseased" Eli is missing. Does this sound familiar because it should be, this is likely simalar to the rebirth of jesus, which gives the movie it's religous touch. So in conclusioneither your a big Denzel fan, an action movie fan or religious and heard that this movie has religous aspects, I give this movie 4 1/2 stars, you should really go see it.
