"She's Out Of My League"

Hello followers david here yo bring you another blog about another movie in the theathers. So today was date day and what better date movie then “She’s Outta My League”. So this movie was a romantic comedy, starring some actors with familiar faces but the first time we seen them star in a movie. This movie was a funny movie but not the funniest movie out but none the less this was a truly inspirational movie. This movie also makes you question about I guess you call an “high school scale” but many of us “grown” people still use today. And besides all the hidden notes that they give in this movie I like the actors in this film.

. This film has excellent actors which actually make excellent actors, especially for these actually not being big name stars. Most of these stars we might have seen as extras or co- stars in a film I have to give a tip of the hat to them because the actually held their own by themselves. Also that I don’t know about everyone else but I can reall relate my life to these characters. I say that because all the actors in this film have there own personas in which I can relate to each of my friends which I like because it sort of puts you closer to the film and really makes you want to route for the underdog star because you can relate to him wit your self

First im going to explain why I believe this movie is truly an inspiration. To explain my logic I have to first explain the movie to you in a nutshell. This movie is about a guy that really has nothing goin right for him in his life. Until he meets this girl which is totally out of his league, long story short they end up together after all odds are against them, this brings me to why I believe it is inspirational. I blook up to this film because every once in while we as humans are self conscious and this blocks us mentally from achieving what we want and performing at a 100%. But this movie shows that although that you may be self conscious that everyone is self conscious about one thing or another. So you shouldn’t let any thing hold you back not even old rules in which we used to follow.

This brings me to another point that we as a society sometimes believe in a imigainary rule in which a lot of people would believe in and really holds us back. This scale im talkin about is the scale of hotness, this scale explains a level in which people or kids would believe in and the level in which people are suppose to be in each other. this is the reason that the movie is called “she’s outta my league”. Most of us as kids would follow this rule, hell we might even still follow it. I know I did and this always kept me at a level and always afraid of actually reaching any higher. This movie shows that this scale blows though because its not what level you are and what you have to settle with. it is about what you feel in your heart and if you were to give someone a chance without following the scale and go on a date to see this movie andyou might see that you might truly be happy with some one outta your league

Shutter Island was a remarkable thriller and i believe to be one of thefirst gratest movies of 2010 yet far. This movie is nothing like any other movie of Scorsese's that I have seen. The best way I can label this movie is probally a psycological thriller. There were a few things that really made this movie a greenlight for me to go see though and for you to see also. One was the history that these two, Scorsese and Di Caprio, have had in thier careers. Another is the mind twisting, mysterious storyline that this movie has. And the acting from each actor was brilliantly done. These actors were so in thier characters when they were filming, it kind of gave you the sense that these people are real. For example, Di Caprio and Ruffalo played the part of united states which you really got that vibe from them plus thier lingo and accent from the 50's when they talked to eachother helped push the sense of time in this movie.

This brings me to my second reason in why should go see this movie and that is because of the storyline.
This story is mind boggling and has you guessing how this story is going to lay out but throws it a whole other way. This idea came from the way the story actually played out you might suspect that this is your averag cop flick but you find out that this is actually a thriller. This Movie is also a mystery with it's conspiracy aspcts inside the film. For xample the whole first half of the movie when you believe that this is a "Clue" type movie you get to find out that that you find out that some of Di Caprio's friend end up in this prison and that they are doing Labotamy expieraments in a lighthouse. And finally another reason why the story line isso god is because this movie has you questioning all the way through. For Example a prisoner escapes and thier is like no way this can actually happen because the rooms are confined and secure and plus there is an orderly on duty, which has you guessing what the heck actually happened.

So Finally this brings up the final topic why you should check out this movie and that reason is because the movie excellence that happens when these two, Scorsese and Di Caprio, come together. This isn't the first time that these two have been together in te movies. For example, all the moies that Scorsese directed in the decade of the 2000's the all contained starred Di Caprio as lead role. Also all of thes movie actually were nominated for an academy award. For example "Gangs of New York" was nominated for 10 awards in 2002, "The Aviator" was nominated for 11 and atually won 5, and finally his latest before this the departed was nominated for 5 and actually won 4. So in conclusion, this movie is excellent and whenever these two are together it is really gold and this movie is no different it is movie that will grasp your attention and have you asking; Who is the crazy one in this movie? Is he crazy? Am I? so this is a movie that will have you thinking all the way to the end and possibly after that.

"The Edge of Darkness"

Alright, so i have just seen the latest Mel
Gibson movie "Edge of Darkness" and to my
belief I was shocked by how good it was. especially, with the lack of advertisment, which made thi movie an underdog in the box office. First off, Anyone who has seen the trailer can expect to get exactly what the trailer depicts. A cop loses his daughter and sets out to solve the murder that others conclude was self explanatory as a shooting in an attempt to get revenge against a cop. Except this movie takes a twist with the goal, taking things at face value sometimes just don't cut it. I believe what really made this movie was the roles mel Gibson and Winstone were really convincing and well matched. Another thing I liked about this movie was that it kept me up and at the end of my seat.

Gibson and Ray Winstone were so perfect for the roles they played. The tension from both kept me clinging to my seat and wiping my brow. Gibson probably had his best role in this movie. Many people would say that mel's role was very similar of those in the "Lethal Weapon" series, but I have seen most of his movies starting with Lethal Weapon and I could not see one potential likeness of Martin Riggs in Edge of Darkness, except for the fact he played a cop. Like I said beforethough this movie will keep you at th edge of your seat not only with it's action scenes in the movie but also with the turns and suprises this movie has. For example, this is also a spoiler, but there is this really suprising scene when Mel meets up with one of his daughters friend for any clues or information she migh shine on the case then when the meeting is finished, BOOOM! she is hit by a car. In Conclusion this movie is an Excellent movie and it is good to see Mel Back in action, and i'm hoping to see him in more movies like this.

Sherlock Holmes

Hello followers David here to bring you into my mind with another movie review. Okay, so don't laugh at me but I barely seen "Sherlock Holmes" and I thought this movie was brilliantly done. This movie had good CGI, Excellent amounts of action and a brilliant cast of stars. Like any other movie though this one has had it's share of mixed reviews some that were similar to mine and some that were negative. Do not fear away from this movie because of it's negative reviews, alot of these were written by "bookies" like Robert Ebert and believed that a movie should stay on the same road as the book. Also, at the end of these reviews they all agreed that they enjoyed the movie.

Back to the good parts though, this movie had good CGI which i believe let the actors actually really act and not focus on the danger of scenes. like there is one scene just before the middle of the movie, Sherlock (Downey Jr.) is fighting a criminal at a dock then Sherlock is knocked out and a gigantic ship is released right toward him. this proves that CGI is good because none of the actors are in danger and you can perform this scene numerous times without buying another carg ship. Another excellent feature in this film was it's actors. This was a star studded cast which featured Robert Downy Jr. as Holmes, Jude Law as Watson and Rachel McAdams as Addler. All of these actors and actresses have proven thier admirability. If you have been following my blog you know i'm a guy, and as a guy I like a movie with action. This movie is no exception this movie has a lt of fight scenes and explosions, and with CGI is only enhances the movie. One of the scenes in which i thought was good was the part I described earlier which had a lot of fights, explosions and noise. My overall opinion of this movie though is that this movie was EXCELLENT and if you havent seen it it is totally worth your $15.00 to go see it.

"The Spy Next Door"

Hello Bloggers, David here again to bring you yet another blog. This time i'm going to tell you about the newest Jackie Chan movie out called "The Spy Next Door". In this movie Bob Hope (Jackie Chan) is a foreign exchge spy on loan to the U.S., until he falls in love and decides to retire to live a suburbia life. Until he puts the ones cares for in trouble and he is left to rely on his spy skills to help. This movie had a couple of good appearances like Billy Ray Cyrus and George Lopez which brought a comedic feel and a few laughs. One moment for instance that comes to mind is in the begining where after the last mission for Bob all three actors were in their hideout, pulling wisecracks on eachother. At the end of it all this movie seemed lie yur basic "Jackie Chan" movie, cool but very family oriented.

This movie was made for a family oriented audience, meaning it is viewable for kids. But don't get me wrong it's not like a "Hannah Montana Movie"made exclusively for kids, there is alot of action and fight scenes but nothing to violent.I kinda came to this claim by the way this movie is set up with actually taking care of a family, he helps out this family out with advice and kinda playing a father figure to the kids. One moet in the movie where the oldest of he kids is in her terribe teen age is felling lost and abanded because her father left the family out of nowhere but Jackie comes in and tries to support her. Another reason I came to this claim was because you can see this movie has the potential to be a "Jet Li" or "Jason Statham" style film but decided to take a softer route so that this film is viewable to everyone. because thier is some pretty awesome fight scenes like the one in the begining it had alot of cool flips and sliding and could've got intense, but it was mild down, yet still cool. So my overall review of the movie is that it is a really good movie but don't expect it to be like any of the "Rush Hour" movies.

"The Book Of Eli"

Hello bloggers and movie goers today i'm going to tell you about "The Book of Eli". Sorry it's none of the newest movies out, I was kind of preoccupied with the superbowl, but if you are one of the few who hasn't checked out this movie yet, I advise you to go see it. "The Book of Eli" is a movie filled with action with a lot of religous aspects. The reason why I kind of came to this conclusion was if anyone kind of had a sense of the bible they would see that eli's story kind of matches up to jesus's life. One scene that helped me realize that is the scene, where after an action filled gunfight between Eli (Denzel Washington) and Carnegie (Gary Oldman), Eli gives up when pushed to the wall and expects to walk away ater giving up the book but is shot down left for dead. but after being capture and then escaping to rush back to Eli, Solara (Mila Kunis) comes to find that the so called "diseased" Eli is missing. Does this sound familiar because it should be, this is likely simalar to the rebirth of jesus, which gives the movie it's religous touch. So in conclusioneither your a big Denzel fan, an action movie fan or religious and heard that this movie has religous aspects, I give this movie 4 1/2 stars, you should really go see it.

The Lovely Bones

I believe the movie, "The Lovely Bones" was a good movie, dark, but really good. Many critics, like "Ebert Robert", bashed on this movie because it was a movie of nonsense and no emotion. Well I always liked Ebert's reviews I have to disagree with him on this one. "Susie Salmon" ,the main character, is a ghost before she is able to rest in peace. She shows many emotions during her journey, such as anger and resentment, sadness and even fear all while looking down on her family trying to move on with thier lives. One moment that proves this is when she shows anger and pain as she sees her father obsess over solving the mystery of her death. Susie also shows that she knew in her heart that het afterlife will never be perfect only until she feels her life is fufilled on earth.
